47% revenue increase in 4 months

angelfysh has been working with Sage Gateshead now for 4 months on improving search engine visibility and helping the website to convert more visitors into ticket sales.

To say we're pleased with how things are going is an understatement.

During the months of May, June, July and August 2014 there's been an increase of 47% in revenue generated from ticket sales alone compared to the same period in 2013.

Of course we can't take all the credit as Sage Gateshead have their own strong marketing team and also work with Newcastle based Brand Consultants Violet Bick.

Goodbye Thomas Zehetemair

Yesterday we witnessed the entire audience of Sage Gateshead Hall One standing to applaud Thomas Zehetemair farewell after twelve years of musical directorship of the Royal Northern Sinfonia. Twelve years that has seen the opening of Sage Gateshead and the Queen bestowing the title 'Royal' to the Sinfonia.

As he gave his goodbye speech there were more than a couple of us with teary eyes.

It's not the last we'll see of Thomas though, he'll be returning at Christmas as Conductor Laureate to conduct the Messiah.

It's quite fantastic really to have such acclaimed musicians and a world class music venue a stone's throw away from us.

And we're not just saying that to be nice because they're our client.

Sage Gateshead is really up there when it comes to acoustics - with special air-filled-concrete, funny shaped wooden walls and lots of curtains. It's acoustically perfect. Which is why it attracts talent like Thomas Zehetemair.If you've not yet been... you should.

Write on Tap with Debbie Owen

Debbie is our angelfysh copywriter and Social Media Author. She creates character. When she's not writing for angelfysh Debbie writes for ITV, BBC and now Write on Tap.

Working alongside highly renowned writers such as Lynda La Plante, Debbie has contributed towards some of the UK’s most highly rated TV soaps and dramas and has received various commissions from the BBC and ITV.

Debbie is also a founding member of Write on Tap, a theatre group entirely devoted to producing and developing new plays authored from aspiring new writers. Chrysalis is a play that Debbie composed and was performed in February.

angelfysh are taking a few days off in the upcoming weeks:

• Monday 23rd December: we'll be open 8am - 6pm.
• Tuesday 24th December: we'll be open 8am - 4pm.
• Wednesday 25th December - Wednesday January 1st: the office will be closed.
• Thursday 2nd January: we'll return to our normal opening times of 8am - 6pm.

Last night Samantha Jackson, our group accounts manager, was recognised as Overall Winner at the Superstar Awards.

We're very happy for Sam; no one works harder or deserves the recognition more. This was said about her:

The Pilates Studio - The North East's Number One

The Pilates Studio on Lansdowne Terrace in Gosforth is the North East's number one because they have the best teachers. 'Simple as that (great brand!)

And they have lots of scary looking machinery too. We know; we went there this evening.

Henrie is angelfysh's newest SEO Developer.

It's difficult to profile our developers because all they do is sit quietly, focused and frowning, staring at their screens and doing whatever it takes to maintain the angelfysh 100% record.
